Today, we are moving into the software brain of the machine. In Lesson 7, we will show you how to enable the Sleep Mode Printhead Cleaning function inside IdeaStudio.

Sleep Mode Printhead Cleaning is an automated software function within HTVRONT's IdeaStudio that performs two actions—(1) white ink circulation every 1 hour for 20 seconds, and (2) printhead nozzle cleaning every 12 hours for 2 minutes—specifically when the D2 DTF Printer is idle or in standby mode.

1. On your computer, open IdeaStudio.
2. Go to "Device Settings", then click "Maintenance".
3. Turn on the "Sleep Mode Printhead Cleaning" function.

⚠️ Critical: The sleep mode controller settings will only work after this switch is enabled. Otherwise, the printhead auto-clean will not run — even if the controller is set correctly.

This feature is ideal for use during non-working hours, such as at night or on weekends. It helps automatically maintain the printer and prevents the printhead from clogging when the printer is idle.

When the power button light turns off, the machine enters sleep mode.

⚠️ Please note: Do NOT unplug the power cable. The D2 must remain powered on to perform automatic maintenance.

At this point, the two control panels on the side will light up. In this state, without connecting to a computer, the machine will automatically run the following two functions:

• 🔄 White ink circulation — prevents pigment settling and sediment buildup
• 🧼 Printhead cleaning — keeps nozzles from drying out or clogging
